In support of House Bill 2299, Southeast High School is a personal electronic device (PED) free environment. No student should have evidence of any PEDs, including cell phones, smart watches, AirPods or other wireless earphones or other devices used for gaming and entertainment purposes.
- Students will be responsible for locking up PEDs during the school day.
- Storage spaces differ by grade level:
- All students in grades 9-11 will be assigned a locker.
- Senior students will check in PEDs to seminar teachers.
- Students who enter school with devices will be reminded to secure it in their backpack until the bell rings at 7:50. All PEDs should be stored at the ringing of the bell.
- Students found in violation of the school and district PED policy must immediately offer their devices to be stored in the White/Gold office until the end of the day.
- Students may receive their device(s) back after the first and second occurrence of a violation.
- Once a third violation occurs, a parent/guardian will be contacted for pick up.
- Individual plans for students will be developed along with disciplinary consequences after multiple occurrences or refusal to submit device(s).
Emergency Contacts
Be sure to review emergency contacts when enrolling students. Emergency contacts are allowed pick up/drop access. However, emergency contacts are not entitled to access to a student's protected record. Parents/guardians should not be listed as emergency contacts if they possess educational rights and custody.
Nutrition Services Reminder
The Online Meal Benefits Application is now available. Please make sure to go to linqconnect.com or your LINQ Connect app (from the app store) to apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits. Students are expected to pay full price for meals until the application is processed and approved.
If you have already enrolled online for the 25-26 school year, please visit linqconnect.com to complete the application.
Student Fee Reminder
Parents who have not paid their enrollment fees can do so online at mypaymentsplus or call the bookkeeper at 316-973-2714.
Unpaid fees will become obligation on 9/15/25. Computer insurance must be paid before 9/15/25 in order to take effect for your student's device.
