Shocker Academy at Wichita Southeast High School is for highly motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors looking for an affordable introduction to higher education. Shocker Academy puts students on a pathway to take up to 30 college credits before they even graduate from high school.

Shocker Academy students are dual enrolled at Wichita State and WSU Tech and will learn from dedicated faculty and take general education classes - such as English and College Algebra.

Why your students should be a part of Shocker Academy

• Students drastically reduce the time it takes to earn a degree by starting in high school on a prescribed path of the most commonly required general education classes.

• It is low-cost and affordable with each class (not credit hour) costing only $149.

• All courses are accredited and guaranteed to transfer to any public college or university in Kansas, by the Kansas Board of Regents.

• Exploratory options and intro classes are available - including business, criminal justice, education and engineering - and students will be earning credits toward an associate's or bachelor's degree starting with their first class.

• Advising available and students will have access to resources at both WSU and WSU Tech - including libraries and tutoring.
