Regional Contest takes place in December. This will
take place at Friends University in Wichita, KS. Until that time
you have the time to
get better and practice your Events.
You can study last year’s events to see more of what it may
be like. At Regionals
you will compete against students from different schools around
the Wichita area. Those placing in the top 4 will be
qualified to go to state. Each event will be timed.
If you are a 2nd year BPA member there are some events that you can
not compete in twice. (Locate
the
website
at www.bpanet.org to be sure.) Good luck and do your best!

State Contest takes place in February. State BPA is held at the Hilton
Hotel and Friends University. At State BPA you will compete against
students from all over the state to qualify
for Nationals! You have a pretty good idea on how the contest
and competition works by the time you compete at State. Going
to state is no different than Regionals. Just boost your game up
because you are meeting with several new people with the
same skills
as you. So try harder and still do your best. Don’t make it
hard on yourself; have fun. Dress to impress there’s nothing
to lose!

The National Contest takes place in May. For judged events, the top
two places qualify for nationals. For non-judged events, the top five
places qualify for nationals. You will compete with all different kinds
of students your age
range. That’s
a good way to make a lot of new friends. You compete in the same
events that you competed in at Regionals and State. But that doesn't
mean the fun stops! At Nationals there are scholarship opportunities
and much much more!
